The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) is a not-for-profit federal corporation incorporated in June of 1998. It is the mutual fund industry's self-regulatory organization ("SRO") for the distribution side of the industry, responsible for regulating all sales of mutual funds by its members in Canada. The MFDA does not regulate the funds or fund manufacturers. This responsibility has remained with the securities commissions.
